Cliff Walks and Fairy Mansions

Went for a wonderful walk the other day, we have been having some gorgeous weather so we want to make the most of it! We walked along the cliff tops to Cloughton a lovely village with a sweet little tea room converted from the old disused railway station.

Along the old railway track a little way is an enchanting fairy mansion. The story goes that a lady with her daughter were having a little walk. The little girl was stamping in the space where a tree had fallen to hurry her along the mother said come out of there or you will stand on the fairies! Which gave her the idea of creating the fairy home! She and others along the way have added things to it and it has now even got a post box where adults and children alike can post letters to the fairies! Such a magical place to visit!
